Imogen Nolan

Director
Imogen has a Bachelor of Education and a background in international aid within Indonesia. She is currently working within the Australian Educational System and has led immersions with the team since 2019, mentoring University students teaching within the developing education system.

Andrew Mahn

Treasurer
Andrew has a Bachelor of Business Management and Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting and is currently working in the not-for-profit sector. He has been on two immersions.

Dr. V Sagar Athota

Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Advisory Board
Born and raised in Tenali, Sagar has been supporting disadvantaged children in his hometown for over 25 years. Sagar's passion is giving back to his hometown and has ambition to expand DJEMS into a high school and eventually a university.
An A/Prof in Business Psychology and Human Resources and father of four, he is passionate about transforming lives through Christ centred education.

Sean Kearney, PhD

Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Advisory Board

Born and raised in New York, Sean is a Prof in Education at the University of Notre Dame. A former US Marine, high school teacher and father of five, Sean's passion is supporting teacher education students to realise the potential of education as a positive change agent for all manner of disadvantage.

Miss K. Hemalatha (Hema)

Principal of Dayamani Joseph English Medium School
​Hema has a Masters of Commerce and Masters of Education. She has extensive experience in teaching within various schools in Andhra Pradesh. Hema is committed to providing strong value based leadership to the school as well as high quality education which meets international standards. She strives for all children to excel in life through the intellectual and emotional environment she facilitates.

Jo Mahn

Social Media and Community Engagement
Jo has a Bachelor of Education (Birth to Twelve Years) and works in the Australian Education System. She has been on immersions and mentoring University students since 2019. Jo led our 2026 immersion, in relief of our director who was unable to attend. She also facilitates our marketing and fundraising endeavours.
